Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Negative Nancy by nature, or whatever male equivalent name you would like to insert here. I think it's foolishly optimistic and in the greater spectrum that is me right now, complete bullshit.

So, yeah, I hate it when people tell me "everything will be ok" when I'm in a pissy mood and such, so I won't say that to you here. However... I will reiterate my philosophy (that I know, I've told you many times before), it's all on the inside man, you get to decide. Foolish optimism to believe it always works that way perhaps, but some days you really can reinvent yourself... I believe.
We talked in (gasp) real life so I know we are on the same page here, no offense taken, obviously.
Let me point to the song in question by saying that the day in reference is not necessarily beautiful in its own right, but is simply a beautiful day to start anew. It could be a gloomy, shitty, ridiculous typhoon of a day (week, life, etc) but deciding that TODAY is a beautiful day to start again... That's where Bob is headed in the song.
